A striking, sun-loving and reliable flower, the numerous Papaver varieties offer a strong interest plant for every landscape. Papavers have lovely wrinkled tissue paper-like single petals that offer texture and height (3-4 ft.) to your sunniest spots and even in some shade with a variety of bloom times and colors throughout the year. I toss seeds about every 2 weeks to keep the garden brilliant!

BLUE POPPIES I started my poppies in containers on my porch. it took a long time for them to germinated. I went about my business and 2 months later the plants were finally up and then they grew fast! I did not transplant them. I left them in the pot. This fall I might transplant them. They have tap roots, like carrots and poppies are generally hard to transplant. I send other poppies seed with these to keep you busy in the mean time. :) Best of luck and if you don't give up and have your seeds in the right location you will be rewarded with beautiful flowers!
ps, I'm trying to start some in my bathroom this winter! Gardeners, you understand! Pam
